Writer-Director Jeff Gomez has earned a name for himself as a writer, story editor, and producer in the worlds of science fiction, fantasy, and interactive entertainment. He was among the first to recognize the potential in Wizards of the Coast’s Magic: The Gathering trading card game phenomenon. Through licensing deals with Acclaim Entertainment, he created a series of storylines and a fictional universe that tied together the cards. This creative content drove the Magic franchise into comic books, graphic novels, roleplaying games and video games.

Jeff wrote and edited the Magic: The Gathering - ShadowMage comic book series, which have sold over 2 million copies, and have been translated into five languages. He brought the storyline of the comics to a climax in Magic: The Gathering - BattleMage, a video game he wrote and produced for the PC and Sony PlayStation, and in the PC and multiplayer online game world of Magic: The Gathering - Shandalar. Wizards of the Coast was recently sold to Hasbro for $300 million. Jeff has gone on to design gameplay and write interactive storylines for the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter video game for Nintendo 64, Gameboy and PC, which has grossed over $130 million. His even more elaborate story for Turok 2: Seeds of Evil helped make it one of the most eagerly awaited sequels in video game history. The second Turok game has shipped 1.5 million copies since its debut on December 1998. Jeff's Primagen story has spun off an action figure line from Playmates Toys, young adult novels from Goldenbooks, comics and magazines from Acclaim Publishing, and PC, Gameboy and online games through Acclaim Entertainment. The Turok 2 property has grossed over $140 million and Jeff is now participating in its development at Takoma Entertainment as a feature film. In addition to working on such video games as Forsaken and Extreme-G, Jeff reimagined the comic book property Shadowman. The results include a hot run on the Shadowman comic book series, and a video game from Acclaim for Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast which has grossed $70 million to date. Takoma Entertainment and New Line Cinema are currently entering into preproduction on a Shadowman feature film, with rap star Ice Cube as the action-adventure's supernatural hero. Jeff is consulting on this and several other Takoma projects. In 1996, Jeff was invited to give a paper on persistent universe creation on the Internet at the Computer Game Developers Conference in Santa Clara, California. He anticipated the advent broadband-ready fully navigable worlds, and he also predicted that highly interactive web based narratives would be the next level of entertainment beyond comic books and video games.
