Kenn Bell

As President of GraphicPlanet Filmworks, Kenn Bell has expanded upon his career as a writer of the hit comic book series, "Magic: the Gathering - Legends" to become a prominent player in the fields of graphic design and independent filmmaking.

As a digital graphic designer for such clients as advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, Kenn applies his expertise to some of the largest accounts on Madison Avenue. More recently, he has exercised his eye for talent and artistic detail as co-producer on the acclaimed short film "Red Light August" (which is soon to air on PBS), as well as on "(short) movie" and "The Last Spin" (both currently in post-production). Kenn is currently wrapping up production on his directorial debut "Feeding Demons," a feature-length documentary about artistic expression in the face of emotional or mental challenges such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. The documentary places a special emphasis on the life and career of successful filmmaker and Internet entrepreneur Jeff Gomez, who wrote and directed "Red Light August."

Kenn's involvement with "Red Light August" extended far beyond his co-producer chores, encompassing everything from appearing as a featured extra in the film, to creating the visual style of the film's elaborate website, posters, postcards and CD-ROM.

As if all that weren't enough, Kenn also donated his time and digital video cameras to Doug Liman (director of "Swingers" and "Go") and Scenarios USA, a nonprofit organization that brings filmmakers together with high school students to create their own short films. The result, "Director's Cut" was aired on MTV in December 1999.

Kenn is currently completing an original untitled feature script, which he intends to direct in early 2001.
